Super chill workout today, just grass sprints with specific work on form. New coach, he doesn&rsquo;t really make sense when he explains what we&rsquo;re doing wrong so that&rsquo;s frustrating. After practice Swaney approached me and told me he wants&nbsp;me to start long jumping. Don&rsquo;t really know how to feel bout that cause I kinda hate jumping but I mean it&rsquo;s a Swaney so as a track god he probably knows what he&rsquo;s talking about. Felt really bad and struggled with chest pain from coughing the whole time. Kind of a discouraging day. Very little energy and spent most of &nbsp;the recovery coughing up a lung. But other then that practice went good. We had a 600m sprint at about 70% then 3x300m repeats at 80%. The cold and sickness made it painful to breathe but overall it&nbsp;still felt good to run.&nbsp;</p> Mon, 12 Feb 2018 07:00:00 Wed, Feb 07, 2018 <p>Today was kinda rough. Not like 400m repeat tough where you want to just quit running forever because of how absolutely sucky they are, it was the good kind of tough that really hurts but you know how much it&rsquo;s gonna help you so it&rsquo;s easier to find motivation. We ran up to the fire station and did a hill workout with full recovery in between reps. Me, Samson, and Diego probably pushed it a little too hard getting to the fire station and didn&rsquo;t have as much energy as we could of for our hills but we still pushed ourselves way hard and Samson threw up on the third rep. We raced the group back to the school which was fun and ended being some good tempo. Starting to get knee pain again which is stressful but I&rsquo;m continuing to ice and stretch a ton so hopefully I can prevent injury this year.&nbsp;</p> Wed, 07 Feb 2018 07:00:00 Mon, Feb 05, 2018 <p>Alright it&rsquo;s the first day of the season so we were all pumped to get out there and run. However we basically lost all motivation when Janz said we were doing 400m repeats. They weren&rsquo;t as horrible as we thought they&rsquo;d be but I mean they were still completely awful. A bunch of us are still recovering from flu or never came out to conditioning, so we were pretty slow and ended up hitting about 60-70 seconds per repeat.
